OUR
President, Jose Sulaiman, as of last Sunday June 10th 2007, is one of
the distinguished members of the International Boxing Hall of Fame,
site into which he was inducted because of his unquestionable merits
in an uninterrupted work of over 50 years, always looking for the best
to our sport.
NUESTRO presidente, José Sulaimán, es desde el pasado domingo 10 de
junio de 2002 uno de los distinguidos miembros del Salón Internacional
de la Fama del Boxeo, al que fue ingresado por sus indiscutibles
méritos en una labor ininterrumpida de más de 50 años buscando siempre
lo mejor para nuestro deporte
We do not want to be reiterative when talking about what the WBC
maximum leader has done for the fist show, and above all, for boxers,
people who he pointed out to the audience during his speech when the
induction took place in Canastota, New York, he called them “my
children”; nevertheless we all know the number of rules that have been
changed thanks to his work, enthusiasm and knowledge which have served
to protect those who get in a ring, in every way.
Jose Sulaiman has
led the WBC for 32 years, period of time in which he has changed
Boxing more than it did from antiquity to 1975, when he became
President of our organization during the convention carried out in
Tunisia.
No queremos ser reiterativos al hablar de lo que el dirigente máximo
del Consejo Mundial de Boxeo ha hecho por el espectáculo de los puños
y sobre todo por los boxeadores, a los que señaló en su discurso
durante la inducción en Canastota, Nueva York, como “mis hijos”, pero
todos sabemos la cantidad de reglas que han sido cambiadas gracias a
su trabajo, entusiasmo y conocimiento, las que han servido para
proteger en todos sentidos a quienes suben al ring.
José Sulaimán en sus 32 años al frente del CMB, ha cambiado el boxeo
más que lo que se vio desde la antigüedad hasta 1975, cuando el llegó
a la presidencia del organismo en la Convención efectuada en Túnez.
